A boardroom table should make meetings feel organized while leaving people enough room to sit, move and use their materials. The best choice depends on the room’s dimensions, the number of people who regularly meet there, and how the space is used—not simply on the table’s stated length.
Measure the whole meeting room
Measure the clear floor area and note doors, windows, cupboards, screens and power points. Mark out the table footprint, then add the space needed for chairs to pull out and for people to pass behind seated guests. If possible, test the layout with tape on the floor before ordering. Confirm delivery access and the path for carrying the tabletop and base into the room.
Choose a shape that suits the meeting
A rectangular table makes use of a long room and provides a clear head-of-table position. A round table encourages a more evenly shared view and can work well for smaller discussions. A triangular or compact meeting table may suit a focused huddle area. Compare the shape with the room’s proportions and the number of seats you actually need.
Check dimensions and finish
Look at the complete product dimensions, including the base and any overhang, and check how chairs tuck underneath. Consider the finish in the context of the room’s lighting, flooring and other furniture. If you use laptops or video meetings, plan cable access, screen placement and power before finalizing the layout.
Confirm the product details
Product titles alone may not distinguish different finishes or configurations. Review the full dimensions, materials, colour, included components and availability for each listing. Ask for clarification if a specification is missing, and confirm delivery arrangements for your location before checkout.
